Shrine Shintoists

Shrine Shintoists are a major category of Japanese Shintoists. Their houses of worship are Shinto shrines. Most shrines are members of the Association of Shinto Shrines. Another major Shinto group is Sectarian Shinto, which is far younger than Shrine Shinto. Until 1945, State Shinto belonged to Shrine Shinto.〔http://www.uri.org/Shintoism_Portrait.html〕 Some Shrine Shintoists also are Buddhists.
